Emergency Medical Service

The emergency medical service provides immediate medical assistance.

Description

The municipality operates an emergency medical service to meet the need for urgent care. You should contact the emergency service when your regular doctor is unavailable.

Target group

All individuals residing in or visiting the municipality.

Possibilities to appeal; procedure

If you believe you have not received the necessary care or are dissatisfied with the service, you can file a complaint with the municipality or directly with the service provider. Explain what you are dissatisfied with and provide any relevant details that may assist in processing the complaint.

You can also file a complaint with the County Governor if the service was provided in an inadequate or unsafe manner, if you received incorrect or insufficient information, or if there was a breach of confidentiality.

In the event of a very serious incident related to the service, you or your next of kin can report it directly to the Norwegian Board of Health Supervision at phone number 474 86 882.
